The name for this site was chosen from the title of a play by Karel Câpec who coined the word robot (from the Czech word for worker.) The play describes clearly, maybe even naively, the conflicts that can be created by a quick deployment of technologies, and is just as valid today.

In any case we prefer the view exposed by Arthur C. Clarke's ``The City and the Stars'' where the robots are described just as today's light switch... working underground, embedded in the social structure and without any human pretensions.
