Not to be rude or pry, but...
Why build another Perl Wiki?
I have TWiki installed, and even if I can't get some of the features to work, primarily because of my hosted setup, it's a great tool. I've also messed with UseModWiki, which I liked but really wanted the TWiki forms and versions features.
Why not contribute your time and efforts to enhancing an existing Wiki implementation instead of "rolling your own"?
I noticed you're trying to decide on a name for your Wiki version. It feels like if you had a solid reason for creating a new version, it'd be easy to name, based on why you were doing it. You said you don't want to name it after you, SFwiki, unlike TWiki. Great, I think you're more likely to get collaboration that way.
Reasons I can think of why you might want to write your own:
- You don't like any of the existing versions
- You thought you could do better than any you'd seen.
- You don't like enhancing other peoples' code
- Fame
- Fortune
- Vanity (similar to Fame?)
- You really needed feature X, and couldn't find it anywhere else
- An educational exercise, the sheer challenge (see Vanity)
- Some one bet you you couldn't do it. (See Vanity)
- None of the other versions support internationalization and you want to implement that.
Did I miss something or is it a combination of the above?
Just curious, really

Look, I just wanted to build something that I liked. I looked at an early version of TWiki and I didn't like the coding style and the way the system was organized.
Simple as that.

Are you still updating this?
